Embers and Gems
Posted by SnowyOwl on Feb. 9, 2025Hi I have been looking at the gems especially the perfect ones. Can you give these to a pet or do you need to craft them with ember recipes in the workshop? The embers you get into the mine can you put on to equipment or is it best to crush them and make new stuff?
Also can you refine a piece of equipment beyond plus 20?

I've refined equipment higher than 20. You can crush embers or put them on equipment. If you say check equipment, it'll tell you what percentages are on it. Say list equipment and then say check equipment name, like bag of beans or mysterious vial. You put embers on the equipment based on what needs strengthening.
Also the perfect gems are ones you split for regular gems, the only exception is the perfect garnet.
Hi guys I think I am getting myself into a muddle. If I have pets that are speed based then the old running boots would suit them. In that case should I put embers of speed from the mine or craft embers of major speed from the workshop? Should I be putting other embers on the old running boots or stick to say speed, vitality and maybe defence?
I get really confused about all the equipment I have and trying to match it to a pet so i’m not always using one piece of equipment.
While I'm pretty sure embers of major speed are better, it takes 10 glowing embers and the gem, chipped turquise, I think, to make one major speed. Until you have enough regular embers to crush and make however much major speed you want, you'd probably better off using regular embers that drop in the mines.
So maybe if I check all my equipment and find out which is the best for speed and put speed on that and if equipment has multiple plus items put embers on that or maybe just fill the equipment with embers til its full then start work on a new piece of equipment?
Is it worth making embers for different damages like earth, light, water etc? Thanks for all the help its much appreciated.
Sure is! Especially if you're fighting against pets who do a lot of earth damage against you, you need a lot of advantage over those as well. So if you've got an intelligence based pet like Emo or Uni for example, you still want to equip them with heaps of earth or light embers so that way your pet has a chance of surviving a really difficult fight later on when you advance through the minds and dungeon a whole lot. These sectors give you a huge advantage when you get into the forest and the arena. you basically need to buff up your pets as much as feasibly possible for when you do the boss battles as well. it's all about training your pets repeatedly until you are bigger and stronger than your opponents.
