Do embers have an effect on status effects

No, it only increases skill damage. Some status effects have unique attributes to increase their damage, but there aren't many ways to get them at the moment. The only things I can think of off the top of my head is Tusk of Tuska and Blood Thirsty Blade. Each refinement level on both of those equipment increases bleeding damage by 1%.

Using embers like increase fire damage does increase damage over time though I thought? Earth for bleeding damage, fire for burning, ice for hypothermia, and so on.
