Taught skills not functioning

oh, hey, it's not just glyph-taught skills… inborn skills, for instance Emo being told to use Tincture, 2/3 of the time is using health potion.

You should be able to say the slot number instead of the name of the skill. I haven't changed anything with skills or Alexa in the last two weeks, so I'm not sure what happened.
