Curious about how the fame points are calculated for the arena

So curious question. How are the fame points calculated when fighting in the arena? Does it have to do with the damage your pet does or how are they calculated?

The first fight you win you get 12 points and then for each fight you win in a row it adds two more points to the previous amount of points. It would be 12, plus 14, plus 16,plus 18, plus 20, etc. If you lose a fight the points start back at 12.
