Account Linking: did I lose my progress?

I started playing GP on my Alexa device, subscribed to premium, made some progress and then tried to link my account. The user account appears to have been created because log in from the website was successful, even though I created my creds through the Alexa app. However, the Alexa app linkage falls at the authorisation hurdle saying please try again later.
I tried to play via the browser and it appeared to restart my progress with new pets, only three farm plots etc.
It currently looks like, although the app has stored my user name and password, I'm playing in two places with two accounts, one on Alexa and one newly started on the browser. Ideally, what I'd like to do is have the browser access my premium Alexa progress, but I guess if, when linking actually works, I lose my Alexa progress, that will have to be how it is. I definitely want one premium account, accessible on Alexa and browser. Is that possible? Thanks for any help.

Just confirmed that, although my account was apparently created through the Alexa app, my browser and Alexa player numbers are different. :( Wonder if there's any way to salvage.

I deleted your browser profile. Can you try again on Alexa and see if it's working again? Don't use the browser version again until you open the Alexa version.
