The guide has status effect info. You can go to the guide and select Qilin and then Karmic Duality.

Lasts 1 turns. Grants the following attributes per stack: +40 strength, +0.25% strength, +40 intelligence, +0.25% intelligence, +40 speed, +0.25% speed, +0.5% increased damage, +0.1% critical strike chance, +0.1% critical strike damage, +5,000 defense, +1% defense and +3% dot light. Stacks up to 4 per pet level. Negative status effect.

DoT stands for damage over time. It will deal damage every turn until it expires.
