New game mode idea
Posted by Neal on June 3, 2023Can there be a new game mode like a tournament. It's like arena but it seperates top 100, top 1000, and other people and it cost 100,000 coins to enter.

I like that idea. Were you thinking of automated battles or manual? I feel like manual battles might be a little hard on Alexa. It would be super easy to make an automated tournament like that, though. Have like an hour long entry period and then have one battle a minute and allow betting. Could be fun.
They should be sorted by trainer level.
With xclusive rewards.
Would the competitors bet or could spectators bet?

I wish players could fight each other in real time, but that's hard on Alexa like Malero said. Oh well.

Yeah, it seems like Alexa isn't great for that type of thing. Has anyone played an Alexa game with real-time battles? I've been wanting to try a simple player-versus-player card game idea on Alexa. The way I see it working is that people would have multiple games going at once and it would cycle to a game where it's your turn. I play a Scrabble game on iOS and it does it like this. If they take 10 minutes or even a day on their turn, it doesn't matter and you can just move on to the next game and come back to that game when they're done. Gacha Pets battles are too short for this type of system probably. I feel like a simple card game where each turn is a mini-puzzle would be perfect. The card game would have to be super simple so players could quickly get back into the game state and play their turn.
Maybe I'll mess around on the card game idea for a few days and if it works well, I'll add an arena mode that works like that for Gacha Pets. I've been stuck on a few things for the next Gacha Pets update and am a little burned out trying to finish it up. The last 10% of a project always feels like it takes 90% of the time in software development... ugh
Since we are talking about the arena, then here is my suggestion, probably please try to make an arena mode where it selects 3 random opponents and you choose which one to fight,,
it frustrates me A bit when they pair my pets with Lectry and other crazy powerful pets

I know a game on Alexa called the black swords that has real time player battles. Basically, one player chooses an attack and the other players needs to choose their attacks before the round can proceed Try out and see if that system can be implemented in gacha Pets.
I think there is a game like that called Cards of Wonder @malero. Could work, depending on what kind of card game it is. I know many people enjoy Uno
Cards of wonder isn't good. I never get enough coins to buy cards even though I should.

I’ve played Cards of Wonder. It’s a little bit too automated and simple for me, but I can see how people find it appealing. Most of the really popular games on Alexa are very simple.
I want more games like six swords and the black sword where you can wander an open world with compass directions. There's not enough of those games on Alexa. There needs to be more! @ Malero will the adventure mode be like that?
I have an idea, instead of just battling other players how about teaming up with others in a battle, like in the endless forest or in raids, another idea, I sometimes send all my pets to the gym but I have to do it one pet at a time which is time consuming… can you ad a send all options? Also are you planning on increasing the max levels for pets?

I would like to add some group activities at some point. There definitely needs to be a way to send more than one pet at a time to a place. There's not currently a plan to increase the level cap.
